 Our partners in Venice have created a petition covering many of the more detrimental aspects of the operations of the Santa Monica Airport. They have also created an on-line version to e-sign as well. http://bad-air.org/smo/vnc-petition

At around 3pm this afternoon a small plane attempting to land at the Santa Monica Airport crashed into a house in Santa Monica. Thankfully the house was undergoing a remodel and the residents were not home. The painters working on site were able to rescue the pilot and student flyer from the wreckage with only minor injuries.

The city of Santa Monica has launched a new website that tracks flights into and out of the Santa Monica Airport. There are many other options associated with this website including a button to submit a complaint. There is however a delay of approximately 20 minutes from real time for security reasons mandated by the FAA.
