3. Discussion re: Arts and Culture Festival in Collaboration with Outreach Committee and Mar Vista Recreation in Fall 2009(5 min.)

Discussion and funding motion: MVCC will allocate funds necessary for a banner for the Education Committee (similar to the Green Committee) for display at the Mar Vista Farmers Market and other events (this is connected to the possibility of the Education Committee having a booth at the Farmers Market once a month) (10 min)
5. Discussion of outreach to schools now that the school year had started:  We need a list of (1) principals; (2) PTA presidents (if any); and (3) Booster Club presidents (if any) at our schools. (10 min)
6. Discussion of micro-grants and outreach to schools (10 min.)
7. Discussion of Mark Twain Middle School and recent events and happenings.
8.  Discussion of "continuing conversation" from the Education Summit and also discussion of October 6 event
