3. Discussion re: Arts and Culture Festival in Collaboration with Outreach Committee and Mar Vista Recreation in Fall 2009(5 min.)
4. Discussion and funding motion: MVCC will allocate $1000 to the Friends of Charnock Campaign to Save the Arts to help continue arts education for students at Charnock Elementary. This funding motion must meet all City of L.A. funding guidelines and be funded and paid in the fiscal year in which it passed or it expires. FOC will ensure that MVCC is acknowledged for its support in upcoming newsletters and other outlets if applicable.
5. Discussion and funding motion: MVCC will allocate $2000 to the Robotics Club at Venice High School to help students to learn, build and compete in the robotics field. This funding motion must meet all City of L.A. funding guidelines and be funded and paid in the fiscal year in which it passed or it expires. The Robotics Club/VHS will ensure that MVCC is acknowledged for its support in upcoming newsletters and additional outlets, if applicable.
