MVCC Green Garden Tour A Huge Success!
The Mar Vista Green Garden Showcase was a huge success! Our traffic on the web site was double that of last year. With 6 walking tours and 80 gardens we are pretty sure that we had double the number of guests on the tour as well. We were delighted to have a number of our city officials drop by - Councilman Bill Rosendahl, Austin Beutner of the LADWP and Commissioner Paula Daniels from the Department of Public Works. A huge thank you to everyone who made the tour a success! One of the wonders of Mar Vista is the tremendous volunteer spirit and we could never have pulled this off without that. Now we start planning our next event - the Wise Power Use Expo on September 28th!
