SB 1818 Koretz-Krekorian Motion

Strong citywide oncerns about the functionality of the SB1818 implementing ordinance 179681 are the focus of a motion by Councilmembers Paul Koretz and Paul Krekorian.
Three changes are proposed:
1. Requiring of written financial proof that zoning adjustments are necessary to produce affordable units in a project
2. Expand radius notification to 500 feet and all Neighborhood Councils as well
3. Allow any interested stakeholder to appeal
The motion also calls for an analysis report from Planning of Ordinance 179681's efficiency in producing affordable units and a report from the Housing Department on whether or not SB 1818 covenants are being strictly observed.
