1) Call to Order – Jerry Hornof & Tom Ponton, Co-Chairs
2) Approval of the minutes –
3) Brief Introductions and Public Comment or Announcements pertaining to items not on the agenda (maximum 2 minutes per speaker)
4) Consideration of having a 5K Run timed with the opening of the new jogging / walking trail
a) Progress report regarding the new soccer field fence project
5) Discussion pertaining to the 2010 Mar Vista Fall Festival

Financial issues including consideration asking the non-profit Mar Vista Landkeeper’s Preservation to cosponsor and manage the finances. Status of paying permit and booth fees to Recreation & Parks. Reservation and rental of a stage, canopies, tables and chairs. Reserving inflatable bouncers.

8) Adjournment
The mission of the MVCC Recreation & Open Space Enhancement Committee is to work towards improving the quality of life for Mar Vista Stakeholders by enhancing the availability and quality of open space as well as increasing recreational opportunities in the Mar Vista vicinity including but not limited to improved bike lanes, bike parking, walking trails, pocket parks, dog parks, access to open fields and recreation facilities, as well as improved sustainability. The committee shall also work in cooperation with the MVCC Urban Planning Committee, MVCC Concept Plan Committee, the Mar Vista Park Advisory Board, park users, local neighborhood associations, other residents, and the MVCC Board of Directors to further these goals.
